In 2 Timothy 2:2 Paul restates the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20: to teach all nations the Gospel of Grace. We have a commandment to teach (make disciples) of all nations. Our mission for 22 Discipleship and Church Planting is to fulfill the Great Commission by planting churches, making disciples and edifying, exhorting, and comforting those disciples.

Through our New Creation Church Network International we offer live video sermons broadcast to network churches . . . church planting and discipling . . .  mentoring for church leaders and their communities using free education resources . . . Pastor Giles Hartman. is a church planter and discipler, primarily in Africa and Pakistan.

He attended medical school at the University of Cape Town and graduated as a medical doctor with honors. After his internship, he specialized in the field of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and entered the research field at the Universities of Oxford and Briston. In 2004 he returned to South Africa looking for opportunities to address the burgeoning mortality from AIDS. Addressing the several years of intense work in that area, Giles notes, "Although an entire book could be written about this period of my life, I found that the personal and professional challenges I encountered from an initially hostile government and the sheer workload of each day drew me closer to my Lord Jesus Christ." Ultimately the South African government signed an agreement in Washington in December 2010 with the subsequent rollout of anti-retroviral medication, causing the average life expectancy of South Africans to rise to its current level of 65 years (up from 35 at the height of the South African AIDS pandemic).

Next, for a time, Giles stepped into private clinical medicine for a time. Reflecting on the preceding years, realizing how he could not have achieved what he had without the guidance, protection, and favor of God, he began a focused time of devotion to seeking Him and entered a several-year period of growth in his walk with Jesus . . . more ministry involvement . . . and intense Bible study.

As Giles was taking steps to enter a new season of life, he fell victim to an attempted murder and kidnapping. Miraculously saved, he fully recovered. During that period of convalescence, he felt a call from God to reach the lost in this world and committed to total obedience in service to Him.

Totally committed to Jesus, he immersed himself in study and church activities and followed an ordination pathway that gained him credibility to his ministry in South Africa and beyond. He is founder and director of New Creation Church Network International (February 2025), a global Church Planting and Discipling Ministry. He

currently focuses on church planting and discipleship in predominantly Africa and Pakistan.

From Karen: Wife, mother, grandmother, writer, editor, Bible teacher, ministry director, retailer, pastoral assistant, motel operator, campaign worker, library assistant . . . these and many more words have described me at times throughout my life. For many years, the description serving as an umbrella over all that, however, is "follower of Jesus Christ."

Through the years and many learning experiences—both failures and victories—I have come to realize the one real focus of my life must be to accomplish the purpose of the journey God has for me. Only God knows that complete purpose—my job is to trust him day by day to help me stay on his path.

I began this ministry many years ago and it has come through many twists and turns. Since I am in my 80s now, my husband, George, and I have been praying for God to provide a way for the ministry to continue when it's time for me to let go. And God is answering in such exciting ways! Giles Hartman is now leading the Prayer, Teaching, and Discipling areas of the ministry. As God leads him, I can see that through his leadership, so many more people will be touched in so many more ways.

My current focus will be on continuing to develop the networking directory. I will also work with guest bloggers for Motivate!--and may write some posts myself.

Is there any such thing as Christians cheering each other up? Do you love me enough to want to help me? Does it mean anything to you that we are brothers in the Lord, sharing the same Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic at all? Then make me truly happy by loving each other and agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, working together with one heart and mind and purpose.
Philippians 2:1-2 TLB

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
